Cat Pumps offers an extensive line of triplex high pressure pumps. Our high-pressure pumps deliver up to 7000 PSI . Higher pressures require special pump construction. Piston pumps typically use a dynamic seal that moves through a cylinder and are limited to approximately 1500 PSI. Plunger pumps feature a static seal supported by adapters and are capable of much higher pressures. Our pumps feature heavy-duty crankshafts, high-strength TNM connecting rods, dual bearings, forged brass or stainless steel block-style heads and a unique seal design and material blend for optimum performance under load. Increasing the pressure permits a multitude of tasks not achievable with low pressure. Blasting surfaces with high pressure to remove paint, rust or stubborn barnacles from ship hulls. Higher pressures permit hydrostatic testing of high pressure rated hose, pipe and vessels. Higher pressures permit hydro excavating for power lines or cleaning out sewer lines. |
